Part 11 turns on whether your electronic records and signatures can be trusted: attributable to a person, protected from undetected change, and linked to the action they document. When evidence is captured by hand and stored across spreadsheets, folders, and screenshots, demonstrating that integrity to an inspector becomes its own project.

The gap is rarely intent. It is the difficulty of proving, after the fact, that a record was contemporaneous, unaltered, and attributable. What a validation team needs is a set of technical controls that produce that evidence as a byproduct of doing the work, so the audit trail is a record you can demonstrate rather than reconstruct.
